La Cigarette

Do I think that smoking is good? No. Do I think that these people are making smoking look beautiful? Yes.

I smoke... here and there. Not every day, but if I have a drink in my hand, or I am around a fair amount of people, I will have a cigarette.
That's right, I'm one of thooosee people. If I'm nervous, I'll smoke. If I'm stressed, I'll smoke. If I'm drinking, I'll smoke. If I am with a smoker, I'll smoke... but I don't go out on my lunch breaks and punch 3 darts into my already weary body because I get that break... you know? I'll have one when I want one, which isn't all the time.
I once had the role of a full time, pack a day smoker, up until and all throughout my time in Paris, however, after coming back, I just didn't want a cigarette all of the time. I'm sitting here now discussing the act and staring at beautiful people making smoking look far more luxurious and vogue than the average middle-aged real estate agent with her Longbeach Milds.. and I have to admit, these people are making me want a cigarette. Is this advertising?

My initial point to this story was going to be something along the lines of 'smoking is beautiful, regardless of what you might say or think, because it's dangerous like James Dean on a motorbike'... but then I realised that smoking itself isn't beautiful... That man in snap pants that was smoking on the train yesterday and yelling abuse at the seat he was standing in front of wasn't beautiful, therefore, the cigarette in his mouth was repulsive.

These models with their slight figures and their equally as mesmerising spouses and party-goers look so chic with that fag hanging out of their pouts. It just goes to show... [insert conclusion here... you can, because I am off to have a cigarette, like the consumer and the demographic I am].
